Operation Zephyr

The ENP and the Barcelona City Council The ENP, through the request of a member of the ENP-Germany, have collaborated with the British organization ESAC (Emergency, Services Aid Charity) by providing accommodation and lunch for the convoy that, from Germany to Gambia, spent the night in Barcelona on September 15. This convoy was made up of 11 police officers and 1 paramedic who transported 3 ambulances, 1 fire truck and emergency material to the African country.

ESAC is a new charity, mainly bodied by emergency service staff. ESAC brings together emergency services from across Europe to deliver emergency services vehicles, equipment and training wherever it may be needed, delivered by serving and retired personnel and other volunteers. Created with targeted needs at the centre of our purpose, they act completely independent of governments, going where the need is greatest.
