The ENP has participated online in the Webinar “Mainstreaming gender and human rights-based approaches in border security and management when dealing with refugees at the border” organized by the Border Security and Management Unit of the OSCE, the 25 of May 2022.
This workshop is aiming at examining various ways in which border security and management practices can foster human rights and fundamental freedoms of people on the move. It also highlights the importance of incorporating gender-responsive and human right-based screening practices when dealing with refugees at the border and emphasizes the relevance of legal passages and safe environments at border crossing points.
